We are always on the lookout for competent and enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team.  Our dedicated workroom  staff get involved in all aspects of measuring, planning, designing and making curtains, blinds, pelmets, cushions and other soft furnishings to the highest standards  

Who are we?

Mary Grice Soft Furnishings has been providing high quality bespoke soft furnishings to discerning clients for over ten years.  We design and create exquisite curtains, blinds, cushions and accessories for beautiful homes in Staffordshire and beyond.   We have built an enviable reputation and pride ourselves on attention to detail in both the crafting of the products and the care of the client.  

You should already be confident at both machine and hand sewing, and familiar with basic sewing techniques.  Full training will be given in all aspects of soft furnishings, but previous experience of sewing in a commercial environment would be an advantage.  


It is important that you are able to sew well, have an eye for design and colour, and are confident in handling fabrics, and the tools and equipment associated with the craft.  Above all, you should be passionate about working in this field, apply attention to detail in all that you do, and be prepared to produce work to an exemplary standard.


Smart appearance and good interpersonal skills required.


Flexible working between 20 – 35 hours per week

Where will you be working?

Harlaston is a small village between Lichfield and Tamworth in Staffordshire.  


Our brand new workroom is purpose built, fully equipped and designed for best practice in the crafting of bespoke soft furnishings.  The workroom has been  part funded through the Staffordshire LEADER Programme, part of the Rural Development Programme for England, and is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.


Public transport to Harlaston is limited, so you will need your own transport.
